Case Study - Guerilla Campaign

Surfshark - Data Leak Pipe

On the day Meta opened its new Munich office, Surfshark installed a very literal, very pink, very public leaking pipe at the entrance - a physical metaphor for the data that leaks out of Big Tech every day.

Client - Surfshark Role - Developed by Povilauskaite Studio, the project was creatively led by Eva Povilauskaite from concept through production and implementation. Category - Guerilla Campaign

The challenge

Surfshark needed to dramatise an abstract idea - data privacy - at the exact moment and place the message would land hardest: outside a Big Tech company’s front door.

The idea

Make the metaphor literal. Build a pipe that appears to leak directly in front of Meta’s new office, contrasting Big Tech’s data practices with Surfshark’s core promise: keeping data in, not out.

Eva’s contribution

Eva Povilauskaite led the project as Creative Director through Povilauskaite Studio. She led the concept development, creative direction, production and implementation of the campaign, overseeing the project from the initial idea through to its real-world execution.
